I got the call Thursday that my services were needed on Saturday for a very special day. Araceli and Elaine were throwing a BIG joint 30th birthday, and then surprising their guests with their wedding!! It was a concept I had never ever heard of! And I was so happy to be able to capture this day for them!! What also made this day so special was that it was all put together with the help of some of their family and oldest friends. Their love story dates back 16 years – when they were both teenagers in high school.
I arrived just as Araceli was getting her finishing touches on her makeup. Her makeup was done by her friend Linda of Mobile Makeup: http://www.mobile-makeup.comTheir friend Vanessa did all the decorating and coordinating!! It was a Luau themed party and she didn’t hold back in transforming their home into a tropical paradise! They had so many delicious sweets n’ treats!! Araceli’s younger sister was in charge of all the sweets, and MmMm were they yummy!!Yep those are REAL pineapples!! And would you believe their cake was COMPLETELY edible?!?! So Cute AND delicious!! I may have had more than one.!!With a love that began in June of 1997 , 16 years ago, they have been through good times and bad, happy and sad and through it all have never left each others side. They filed for domestic partnership on January 11, 2011 thinking they would never be able to be legally married. What a difference a couple years can make. Araceli and Elaine – I wish you two 1600 more years of happiness and love!!
